Sigourney Weaver, née Susan Alexandra Weaver le 8 octobre 1949, à New York, est une actrice américaine. Elle fut révélée par son rôle de Ellen Ripley dans Alien - Le huitième passager. Elle a repris ce personnage dans ses trois suites, Aliens le retour , Alien³ et Alien, la résurrection. Elle a également joué dans notamment S.O.S. Fantômes et sa suite S.O.S. Fantômes 2, Gorilles dans la brume, Working Girl, et interprète Grace Augustine dans Avatar et sa préquelle vidéoludique. Elle a été nommée pour trois Oscars, trois BAFTA Awards. Elle a également été nommée pour six Saturn Awards, et en a remporté deux pour Aliens le retour et Avatar, et pour six Golden Globes dont deux remportés pour Gorilles dans la brume et Working Girl qui firent d'elle en 1988 la premières personne de l'histoire à remporter deux Golden Globes d'interprétation la même année.
