Kevin Spacey est un acteur, réalisateur et producteur de cinéma américain né le 26 juillet 1959 à South Orange, dans le New Jersey (États-Unis). Il est connu pour ses personnages complexes dans des films comme Usual Suspects, Seven, L.A. Confidential et American Beauty. Il a remporté des prix prestigieux comme l'Oscar du meilleur acteur dans un second rôle en 1995 et l'Oscar du meilleur acteur en 2000. Après une première formation à l'Académie militaire de Northridge, à Los Angeles (dont il sera expulsé), il rejoint le lycée de Chatsworth, situé non loin, et devient major de sa promotion. Il y fait ses premières expériences de scènes avec la troupe de théâtre amateur de l'établissement au sein de laquelle il tient le rôle du capitaine Georg von Trapp dans La Mélodie du bonheur.
